Staff in the park said the bridge could withstand an 8.0-magnitude earthquake and level-14 typhoon.

The bridge is designed to host a maximum of 200 people at one time. However, the park has limited the number of people standing on the skywalk to 30 at a time to guarantee a better experience. The price to stand on the skywalk is 60 yuan, with each visitor allowed to stay on the bridge for 30 minutes.
The world’s longest glass skywalk has opened to tourists at the Longgang National Geological Park in the southwest Chinese city of Chongqing on April 26, 2015, the Chongqing Evening News reported.

Jutting out of a cliff’s edge, the glass skywalk sits at a height of 1,010 meters. The glass bridge is named “Yuanduan,” which means “at the end of the clouds.”

The glass observation bridge measures 26.68 metres in length–five metres longer than the skywalk at the Grand Canyon in the U.S. state of Arizona; making Yuanduan the longest bridge of its kind in the world.
