New govt to shoulder challenging responsibilities: CPN (MC) Chair Dahal

He opined that prior to bringing the new national statute into effect, it has to be amended and revised at the best interest of public. Dahal held the view that holding the village council, municipalities, provincial and parliamentary election would be an additional challenge to the new government. He expressed the view that providing necessary relief and support to landslide and flood victims across the nation as well as beginning the long-term and big projects would also be challenging for the new government. Chairman was in belief that activities of Truth and Reconciliation Commission and Commission for Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons would be accelerated along with formation of a new government. He also stressed the need of using new technology in agriculture sector to make the country self-dependent on food grains. Different organisations including All Nepal Peasants’ Federation (Revolutionary), All Nepal Peasants’ Association (Revolutionary), All Nepal Peasants’ Association (Maoist), among others are going to be united. CPN (Maoist Centre) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has stated that the new government has to undertake very challenging and risky responsibilities. Addressing a national convention of the farmers organized by All Nepal Peasants’ Federation (Revolutionary), Chair Dahal further said that the major task of the new government would be the implementation of the new constitution. Dahal, also former Prime Minister, said that the new government ought to keep the national integrity intact and strengthen the national unity. Dahal is poised to be elected as the next Prime Minister with the present government led by the CPN (UML) chairman KP Sharma Oli tendering resignation following a no-confidence motion filed against it by the CPN (MC) and the main opposition Nepali Congress.
