The parliamentary session has stalled following the registration of the motion of no confidence by the CPN (Maoist Centre) and Nepali Congress on July 13. The parliament was scheduled to deliberate on Finance Bill, 2073; the Bill on Mobilising Internal Loans, 2073 and Loan and Guarantee (21st Amendment) Bill, 2073 on the same day the motion was tabled. On the occasion, House Speaker Gharti told the PM that the discussion would take place from July 21. She also briefed the PM on her continuing consultations with various parties and concerned stakeholders on the subject and made assurance that the process would be dealt with on basis of consensus as far as possible.Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today held talks with House Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar at former’s official residence at Baluwatar proposing to embed the bills related to the budget in the working schedule before the discussion over no-confidence motion takes place at the Parliament. PM urged the House Speaker to be mindful of the parliamentary tradition, practices and her own position’s decorum by prioritizing the budget related calendar, PM’s Press Coordinator, Chetan Adhikari, said.
