On the occasion, the Prime Minister directed the TIA authorities to improve physical infrastructure of the only international airport in the country, install a proper scanning machine, CCTV camera, among others. He also asked the bodies concerned to strengthen security at the TIA. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel, Tourism Minister Ananda Pokharel and Minister of State for Tourism Bal Bahadur Mahat.Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli made a surprise visit to the Tribhuvan International Airport on Tuesday. The sudden visit today by Prime Minister Oli was in response to a query put before him about the management of the TIA in last week’s ‘Direct dialogue with the PM’ programme, said PM’s press coordinator, Chetan Adhikari. The programme is aired by Nepal Television every Saturday.
